Originally intended to be an intimate go-to place for honeymooners, the seven hectare property that houses the resort along Panglao’s famed Alona Beach in Bohol is set to launch its second phase during the 3rd quarter of 2014.
Modern apartment buildings with 61 new suites, a restaurant and wine bar, a second outdoor infinity pool, spa and gym facilities have been added to 14 villa-type accommodations. Interiors are a balanced mix of industrial and organic with large glass windows which provide an unfettered view of the landscape, raw teak wooden doors, furniture and divider, dark granite ceiling and beige floor slabs accented with all white bed linen, a wrought iron chair and a cushioned window seat with cool pastel throw pillows. Endemic trees have been incorporated into the landscape characterized by lush greenery and well manicured lawns.
Personalized service includes a well-trained staff who are all smiles and greetings, from the reception to housekeeping, security and maintenance. Sweets and fruit baskets, as well as postcards, and a miniature packet of local tablea (chocolate) accompanied by notes are little details that leave a lasting impression on guests.
Couple Nikki and Ria Cauton who both take a hands-on approach in managing the resort have made it their mission to provide a memorable experience for each and every guest who find their way to Amorita Resort.
“Throughout the development phase, we employed local building techniques and used organic, natural materials abundant in the area. We designed in ways that keep the Boholano character and spirit alive, and this enables us to create a strong local identity and sense of place that guests will appreciate,” says Nikki who is a lawyer by profession and father of two.
Located on a limestone cliff, the view from the infinity pool includes one of a kind sunsets and a breathtaking panorama of seascape replete with coconut trees, a long stretch of white sand beach, and boats on the horizon.
Future plans include an artist’s village for art exhibits and performances, as well as workshops and trainings conducted by artists-in-residence.
